Julie Compton was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, the setting for her 2008 debut novel, the legal thriller Tell No Lies, which tops today’s Buffet. She was the youngest of six children and was the only girl, and perhaps that’s why most of what she writes is from the male point of view.

julieJulie forged a career as a bankruptcy attorney before turning to fiction writing when she took time off from work to stay home with her two young daughters. She now writes full-time from her home near Orlando, Florida.

Her most recent work is Keep No Secrets, the sequel to Tell No Lies, and you can read the first chapter at Julie’s website.

If Tell No Lies is made into a movie, Julie would like to see these actors in the cast: Bradley Cooper, Kate Winslet, Freida Pinto, and Tommy Lee Jones.
