Anyone will tell you; Cooper Heath isn’t much of a build-it-yourself kinda guy.
I’ve been way too busy trying to turn my Hollywood dreams into a career—while simultaneously trying to keep my family afloat when my twin brother’s medical bills keep threatening to sink us—to ever strap on a tool belt.
But when Jacks needs a treatment I can’t afford, I’m willing to take just about any role that comes my way…
Even if it means spending an entire summer posing as the fake boyfriend of an up-and-coming YouTube renovation expert while we renovate a dilapidated cabin in front of the cameras.
Even if it means we’re sharing one tiny bed in one very tiny RV.
Even though I quickly find myself falling for my sweet, strong, sexy, stubborn, and oh-so-silent costar.

Banana Slit (A Seaside Ice Cream Shop Mystery Book 1) (affiliate link)
The grand opening of Anna McBride’s seaside ice cream shop is anything but sweet.
After the tragic death of her Irish twin sister, Bella, Anna needed a radical change. So, she closed her counseling practice in Boston to embark on a new adventure as an ice cream shop owner.
Now all she wants is to settle into her new town, attempt to turn her black thumb green, and build her ice cream shop into a community hub that hosts quality entertainment and group gatherings – just like Bella had often fantasized about doing before her fateful boating accident.
And what better location than Seagull Cove, the small Massachusetts coastal town where Anna and Bella created their best memories?
If it were up to me this book would be called Hilarious Things That Happened That Were Not At All Dahlia’s Fault—or HTTHTWNAADF, for short. OK, I probably shouldn’t have taken money from a mysterious eccentric to solve a theft, given that I’m not a detective, and that I am sometimes outwitted by puzzles in children’s video games. I probably shouldn’t have stolen bags of trash from a potential murder suspect. Arguably — just arguably, mind you — it may have been unwise to cos-play at an event where I was likely to be shot at.
But sometimes you just have to take some chances, right? And maybe things do get a little unfortunate. What of it? If you ask me, an unfortunate decision here or there can change your life. In a positive way, just so long you don’t killed in the process. Admittedly, that’s the tricky bit.

Years later, Sophie Duval reveals to her long-lost nephew the tragic story of a family of master craftsmen in eighteenth-century France. Drawing on her own family’s tale of tradition and sorrow, Daphne du Maurier weaves an unforgettable saga of beauty, war, and family.
