More than anything else, thirty-something Holly Fisher longs for family. Guilt-ridden Esther, terrified to see her mother and siblings, begs Holly to accompany her on a visit to Esther’s mother before she dies. But can their journey to a conflicting world heal their emotional wounds and finally bring them home?
Youthful beauty, naïve innocence, a romantic imagination thirsting for adventure…an apt description of Vaden Valmont, who would soon find the adventure and mystery she had always longed to experience…in the form of a man.
A somber recluse, Ransom Lake descended from his solitary concealment in the mountains, wholly disinterested in people and their trivial affairs. And somehow, young Vaden managed to be ever in his way…either by accident or because of her own unique ability to stumble into a quandary.
Yet the enigmatic Ransom Lake would involuntarily become Vaden’s unwitting tutor. Through him, she would experience joy and passion the like even Vaden had never imagined. Yes, Vaden Valmont stepped innocently, yet irrevocably, into love with the secretive, seemingly callous man.
There Are No Do-Overs is a game-changing management book that offers readers insight on how to create a winning team at the office by reviewing lessons from the basketball court. Think of it as a full-court press that shows business leaders how to bring their A game—from tip-off to working overtime—and what it takes to win.
Combining lessons from the boardroom with directives on how to make big wins in the NBA, There Are No Do-Overs shows readers the devil is in the details. In other words: success is the sum of paying attention to detail when it comes to business, sports, and life.
Caught between the beauty of his grandchildren and grief over a friend’s death, Frank Schaeffer finds himself simultaneously believing and not believing in God—an atheist who prays. Schaeffer wrestles with faith and disbelief, sharing his innermost thoughts with a lyricism that only great writers of literary nonfiction achieve. Schaeffer writes as an imperfect son, husband and grandfather whose love for his family, art and life trumps the ugly theologies of an angry God and the atheist vision of a cold, meaningless universe. Schaeffer writes that only when we abandon our hunt for certainty do we become free to create beauty, give love and find peace.
Seventeen-year-old Jane found the horse of her dreams—or so she thought. Windsong has the breeding, training, and the flashy good looks to win medals at national competitions, and Jane figures she’ll point him down the centerline and waltz back out, stuffing blue ribbons into her tack trunk. He was a tall, black, imported Swedish Warmblood; he was Grand Prix trained; he was the epitome of elegance and fire breathing dragon. She nearly fainted when she had to get on him the first time, but she did it. It was getting off that had her landing on her backside in the dirt. She’s not sure she can ride a horse like Windsong, maybe she wants to go back to riding boring, reliable Paddy.
The first time Jane attempts to catch Windsong out in his paddock, he freaks and races past her, out the open stall door and he’s gone, down the driveway. As Jane is panicking, fearing the worst, a cowboy and his trusty mount save the day. Cory ropes Windsong and disaster is averted, or is it? Cory is an ill-mannered, stupid stetson wearing, piercing blue eyed, mouthwatering cowboy and he questions Jane’s ability to handle Windsong’s behavior. Kate her beloved trainer, sides with him, and tells her to let a mere cowboy touch her horse! Tempers blaze and horseshoes fly, but something else begins to spark. Can Jane overcome her fear of Windsong to win her goal of competing in the North American Junior Championships and not lose her heart at the same time?

Witchcraft and magic are very real. These practices have existed as precise sciences for thousands of years. More importantly, every single person can learn to do witchcraft and magic. We are all born with the talents and abilities that empower us to do the rituals and spells in this book.
In the distant past, studies in witchcraft and magic were just as important as math, science, or the arts. This book is the first in a three-part series dedicated to spreading the knowledge of practical witchcraft and magic around the planet. Because the books in this series can be studied individually or in sequence, the introductory material on practitioner safety and effectiveness is repeated in each book.

Elena’s about to discover that there are even more difficult things in life to deal with. One of them comes in the form of a pen she discovers one day, a pen that allows anything she writes to come to pass…
Suddenly, it’s not just her powers or her heart that’s at stake, but her very soul, as a dream demon with a seductive pull uses the pen to try and turn her away from her reality, and from Karl.
But the pen is just the beginning. Everything Elena has believed in is a lie, and her world is about to fall apart…
