Grace Burrowes, the award-winning author of several Regency and Scottish Victorian romances, tops today’s Buffet with Bridegroom Wore Plaid, the intimate and erotic Book 1 of her MacGregor Trilogy. Publisher’s Weekly named the novel one of its “Best Books of 2012.”

graceGrace was the sixth of seventh children raised in rural central Pennsylvania. She spent much of her early life reading romance novels and riding a chubby buckskin gelding named—unimaginatively if eponymously—Buck. Her parents gave her a manual typewriter when she was eight years old, and she’s been writing for her own pleasure ever since. Her first career was as a technical writer and editor and she earned a law degree while attending night school.

After Grace opened her own law practice, she summoned the courage to begin pitching manuscripts to agents and editors — and the rest, as they say, is history. Grace now lives in the Maryland countryside.
