Daniel Pinkwater is an American author of children’s books and young-adult fiction best known for Lizard Music<\/em>, The Snarkout Boys<\/em> and the Avocado of Death<\/em>, Fat Men from Space<\/em>, Borgel<\/em>, and the picture book The Big Orange Splot<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"daniel\"<\/a>Daniel also provides commentary on National Public Radio, and he tops today’s Buffet with a collection of short, humorous essays based on those NPR appearances. Fish Whistle<\/em> covers a\u00a0variety of topics, from traveling in Africa (and eating the world\u2019s hottest chili pepper!), to raising dogs (or having them raise you\u2026). The gems in this book are short, fun, and sure to amuse. (An earlier edition of this book appeared in hardcover in 1989, and it’s been revised and updated for Kindle.)<\/p>\n

Daniel is a trained artist and has illustrated many of his books, although for more recent works he’s passed that task on to his wife, novelist Jill Pinkwater.<\/p>\n
