This is not one item. It\u2019s five, assembled into a collection that tells the complete story of\u00a0Revolver<\/em>\u2018s legacy through the lens of the man who created its iconic cover.<\/p>\n

Klaus Voormann has been part of the Beatles story since the Hamburg days\u2014he was there at the Kaiserkeller in 1960, became one of their closest friends, and went on to design what many consider the greatest album cover in rock history. The\u00a0Revolver<\/em>\u00a0artwork won him a Grammy in 1967, and the relationship between Voormann and the four Beatles remained warm and close for the rest of their lives.<\/p>\n

The anchor of this lot is the\u00a0Deluxe Edition of\u00a0<\/strong>Revolver 50: Birth of an Icon<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0from Genesis Publications\u2014number 18 of only 67 ever produced, purchased directly from the publisher and still sealed. Each Deluxe copy came with a unique, one-of-a-kind framed original artwork by Voormann, and what makes this particular copy extraordinary is that the artwork depicts a conversation Voormann had with Paul McCartney about the progress of the\u00a0Revolver<\/em>\u00a0cover\u2014rendered in a drawing that is strikingly different from the artwork used in the book\u2019s official release. You\u2019re looking at something that exists once and will never be replicated.<\/p>\n
