Tim grew up in Riviera Beach, Florida, a small town just north of West Palm Beach.\u00a0He attended Auburn University, where he became the editor of The Auburn Plainsman, the student newspaper. After graduation, he worked as a newspaper reporter until quitting in 1999 to write fiction full-time.<\/p>\n
