Amazon has indefinitely postponed the deletion of customer e-mail and shipping addresses from its “Sold, ship now” e-mails.
Amazon had planned on making the change February 1, but now says it will wait until it has released new order-notification software, which has also been delayed.
An “event notification API”? So now I have to be a programmer to sell on Amazon? Have any of them at Amazon come down out of their ivory tower recently?
It does seem that you have to hace a college degree in computers these days to sell anymore. It all started so easy, Find a book sell a book. Now I have to write script, and understand it all. I guess the harder it gets, The less competiotion there will be.
I’m thinking that they may already be doing away with the email notification. Since 29 November I have had at least 10 orders that did not get to me by the Sold Now notification. I have to check both email listings and Transaction History to make sure I don’t miss a sale. I’ve had to do damage control with some Xmas shoppers but they all were very understanding. Amazon was of no help.
