Advertising your book on TV with Google TV ads?

A very interesting article and audio interview on GalleyCat today about book marketing — specifically, how to advertise your book with cut-rate television advertising via Google TV ads. The campaign resulted in 1.3 million viewers at a cost of only $1,300, not counting the cost of producing the video advertisement. The bottom line: 1,000 viewers typed in the URL mentioned in the commercial. So that’s more than $1 per lead, about the same amount you might pay to get a hit on your Web site using Google Adwords. Now, getting any of those people to actually buy your book is another story…

So you spent time, energy, and money building a brilliant book trailer for your new release. Why not put it on TV? Today, one advertising reporter explained how you can use Google TV Ads to promote your book.
